Happy Birthday, Trev!
Happy Birthday, younger brother! Hope you are having a blast this weekend, enjoying the twilight of your twenties. Ahhh, to be young again. At the present moment, while sitting in a Bangkok hotel, I am recalling all the great times we've had. I am particularly appreciative of our recent history of seeing live music. Much of it was at your suggestion, or outright effort by going somewhere and standing in line for tickets for us. The Black Keys show at the Fine Line comes to mind. That was a blast that would have been missed had you not found out about it and scored us those tix. The Happy Apple was a fantastic, intimate show at The Artist's Quarter. We were at First Ave for a couple shows too, the John Butler trio and Modeski, Martin, Wood and Scofield. But the cake was obviously taken by a musical icon at teh Excel Center this past summer... Roger Waters. You had seen him several times, I had once (in Bangkok, actually), and we both agreed he sounded the best we had heard. It was a fabuloous show, with amazing main floor seats, provided by a fabulous brother. Thanks for all the great times this past year, Trevor. Try and make it back to Thailand for another six week stint! We can drop in on Took up in Chiang Mai....
